Driving by often, I have always wanted to try this place. It had a welcome feel. We were given the choice to sit on either side...left is more of a traditional diner vibe, bright with lots of windows, and the right side is a more quaint bar side with louder music. This side overlooks the outdoor patio too. We chose the bar side.We received excellent service, friendly, efficient, and everything came out better than expected. We started out with the beef and vegetable soup, and a bowl of the French onion soup. Both were robust in flavor. The char on the French onion soup was perfect. Then the BLT came and had a generous amount of bacon. This bacon was thick and the most flavorful I've ever had. My friend ordered the veggie wrap with honey mustard sauce and she was so happy with it. She said everything was fresh with generous portions. They brew their own tea so this is also highly recommended. I cannot wait to visit again. There was a lot more seating than I was expecting. And the bar side had a cool 70s ambiance in a fun, tasteful way.
Our waitress Bree did a great job. Very friendly & took good care of us.Husband had BLT sandwich that he said was good. I had pork chops that were huge & delicious. Mashed potatoes were good & fries were the best I've ever eaten! The other couple with us had Cod & a salad that they said was good as well. Our first visit but would definitely go back if in the area again.
I ate the best prime rib sandwich I ever had. Large pieces prime rib. Had the pretzel bread appetizer with beer cheese this was also outstanding beer cheese was excellent all our food was great. Stopped in there after antique shopping.
Haven't been there in many years. We had a large table and out of all 14 people everyone enjoyed their food. Onion rings for excellent the desert for really good. I got the Dagwood that's a pretty hefty sandwich. And delicious. And also took home a piece of the apple cake. It was also delicious. And I our waitress was awesome! 14 different orders and didn't get one drink or food order wrong. Fantastic service.
Always an excellent experience. They have one of the best pork chop dinners anywhere. It was very busy due to it being valentines day. They handled the extra business with ease. Looking forward to a return visit.
Can't recommend this place enough, incredible food, service, and atmosphere. The country fried steak is the best I've ever had with a delicious gravy, and the onion rings are excellent too. If you're near here, you would be foolish to not stop in.
Excellent food and service. The best country fried steak I have tasted in 5 states! The gravy was delicious too.
We were able to have dinner at this restaurant recently. We met some other people who got the table so we didn't know how long the wait was. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I got the chops with home fries and greenbeans. My wife got the breaded shrimp with coleslaw and the same potatoes. It wasn't long before we had our food. I have to say the pork chop was the best chop I have had in a long time. It was tender and juicy. There was a flavorful spice rub seasoning applied that was delicious. I could only eat one. The potatoes were also tasty. Cooked just right with a little seasoning. The green beans were just el detent and tasted great. My wife's shrimp was nice and crispy but could have used another minute in the fryer. The coleslaw had a hint of vinegar, which I didn't care for, but other folks liked it. Overall, the dinner was great, and I will be back for more chops and potatoes.
